On the Aegean Sea, is a small town in the province of Mugla, located 8 km west of the resort of Marmaris in a small and beautiful sea bay.

The resort is not suitable for parties, for this you need to go to the dance floors of Marmaris, or to the discos of Bodrum. By the way, getting to Marmaris is very easy: either using dolmush - a local taxi, or by organizing a boat trip on a taxi boat. The distance between the resorts is quite small (8 km) and, if desired, you can even walk or ride a bike.

The resort has a small selection of shops, a bank branch, but if you want to make serious purchases, then it is better to take a ride to Marmaris.

In summer, the weather in the resort is always sunny, there is practically no rain, the temperature is kept within + 25 + 34 C (the peak is in mid-July, August).

In the winter months, below +6 C - at night and +14 C - during the day, the air temperature does not drop.

The climate in Icmeler is Mediterranean: dry and sunny in summer, some precipitation (rains) in winter, but warm.

Beaches

The beaches of Icmeller are sandy, stretch for about 7 km, sea water is cleaner than in Marmaris, has a temperature in the beach season of + 22 + 25 C (slightly cooler than on the Mediterranean in Turkey), the salt concentration in it is higher than in the Black Sea sea water, so it's easier to swim here, the sea "holds". Far outside the resort, they know about Munamar Beach, next to which there is a hotel with the same name.

There is one minus here - these are narrow beaches. Sunbeds are five nearby and this is the maximum. Therefore, you need to reserve a seat in advance. Palm trees and other trees grow in the city. Squirrels and many birds jump on them. There are many shops and cafes, so you won't go hungry. Ice cream vendors put on a show to sell it. When I turned to my geographer friend, he looked at the map and showed me the line that runs from the city of Rhodes to the peninsula west of Marmaris and said that this is the border of the Mediterranean and Aegean seas. Since Icmeler turned out to be east of this border, this means that it is washed by the Mediterranean Sea, and not by the Aegean.

The boats also don't run often, but the timetable can be seen in the harbour. The cost of a one-way trip is 15 lire. More expensive than dolmush, but you can admire the coast from the sea. That is, it will be a kind of cruise.
